“I started crossfit to train for a tough mudder. A coworker had suggested it and the intention was to train for the six months before the race and go back to life as normal. Three years later and I’m still here. I’ve competed in sports my whole life, but nothing has kept me motivated like crossfit.
In the past I have dreaded going to practices, but I look forward to going to the gym even when I know it’s a workout that will kick my butt.
I feel like my fitness has never been better. It’s great to be able to go in and lift a heavy barbell knowing that not long ago I would have been afraid to move it.
